I do love reading your updates. Was thrilled to see you got to go to a Vivian Maier exhibit. I fell in love with her work around 15 years ago now - so much so, we ended up buying one of her pieces and it's our most treasured possession! What did you think of the exhibit?

Sarah, I read your last email, and I’m pleased I have survived the “unsubscribe” flurry! :D

Also, the Vivian Maier exhibit is amazing. Her images are somewhat grouped into pure street photography, self portraits, and portraits and candid images where the subject is engaged with the camera. There is also a compilation of 8mm films that Vivian took. Some are short clips that simply show the way she scanned a location for the “stage” in advance of her photograph, others documented places and events more completely. The whole exhibit is very compelling. I think I will go back and have another look next week before I make my annual pilgrimage to Canada. :)

My head is spinning at the thought of trying to format an upside-down, back-to-back book. Congrats on getting it done and off to the printer and still having the sanity to write a blog post.

Very exciting news about the June author signing at Groove Cat. I've put the date in my calendar.

And I'll continue to keep my fingers crossed for the bureaucracy to sort it self out so that you can move into your new home, only a year (?) after your planned. Your stories make me deeply grateful for our relatively quick bureaucracy here.

Your tale of a visit from Elizabeth have given me a craving for travel. Portugal .... Hmmm!

Cheers ... Nancy
